Back in September 2017 we, Dearly Beloved, tied the knot! It was such as joyful process planning our big day but we would lying if we said that it wasn't a little nerve wracking deciding on what style of stationery to create for our wedding. We wanted to follow our own advice and create artwork that we felt represented us as a teaser of our overall celebration; it turns out once we decided on colour scheme and our little birds illustration everything else fell into place.
The autumnal colour scheme included copper foil and plenty of mustard, orange and gold, and with our illustrated birds making frequent appearances across the suite all our visuals had an element of fun.
One thing we knew is that it was really important for us to collaborate, Ben created the overall mid century inspired graphics and then Abi re-created Ben's floral motif in her signature brush pen along with some hand painted lettering for the wedding day signage.
We decided it really wasn't too important to us that everything matched perfectly (we're not a perfect kinda couple) but more that our stationery suited the historic, rustic and "a little rough around the edges" feel of the space we were all set to be married in.
