Real wedding // Rachel & Sam, Seafront love on Porthilly Farm

Wow! Things have been a little crazy at DB HQ (especially as we have decided to join the Mr & Mrs club too); however we couldn't let another week pass without sharing one of the weddings we have been lucky enough to work on this year.

Rachel & Sam were local enough for us to meet up for a couple of coffees (and smoothies) to help plan their big day; with inspiration from classic letterpess designs, paper pom poms, Rachel's meticulous wedmin skills and a whole lot of love we think you'll agree this wedding day was glorious. After a traditional wedding ceremony at a church close to Rachel's heart the celebrations continued with dinner and dancing at Porthilly Farm, an amazing seafront venue in Cornwall.

Here's what our bride had to say about planning their nuptials...

Why did you decide to have bespoke wedding stationery?
We wanted our mark on the day - something unique to us!

You were super hot on your wedding planning, can you give our followers 3 top tips?
Be organised, be honest with people, don't overthink every decision - it will all be fine!

The fun pom pom decorations from Pom Pom Studios  were the inspiration for our illustrated motif that was echoed throughout Rachel & Sam's stationery.

What was the biggest surprise of the day?
No real surprises, as I'm too organised! But I hadn't seen the band [Soulfire] and they were absolutely perfect so my risk paid off! Check them out here

And if you had to pick one moment what was the most memorable part of the day?
For Sam it was the said the first dance, I would say just enjoying everyone that came to celebrate, it was all very overwhelming - all my favourite people in one place!

...And the pièce de résistance was the signage on each table which were named after the couple's favourite motorway service stations because... well why the heck not!

Hello 2016!

We said goodbye to 2015 on the Cornish coast with wonderful friends; eating too much, popping Prosecco and braving the elements. After a wonderful break exploring St Ives and Hayle we are ready to kick 2016's butt!
Get in touch with us to talk about your very own wedding stationery collection!

"My aim is to capture love and truth in whatever way it presents itself. I love my job so much and feel so lucky to play a part in so many couple’s weddings"

"I love nothing more than when my couples say ‘the photos are so us’. That’s my main aim – to tell the real story of your wedding day but more than that is to show what makes you ‘you’ and your wedding day just yours."

Dearly Beloved have had the joy of working with Freckle in the past in styled shoots and she has even taken some of our product shots, having watched Emma work her magic in the past we can fully recommend her services. Check out more of her work here!

Real wedding: Mike and Ellen

We are so excited to share this beautiful wedding day photographed by the talented Alan Law. Last year we were lucky enough to be commissioned by awesome couple Mike and Ellen to create their bespoke wedding stationery; including invitations, artwork for their wedding website, their table plan, place settings and more. Have a look at just how beautiful their big day turned out to be!

The couple asked us to design a washing line table plan featuring our hand drawn lettering which they assembled with bakers twine and colourful pegs. The great thing about this table plan is that if you have any last minute changes there's no need to reprint the entire thing, we can simply edit the table you need to amend and pop it in the post to you.

Mike & Ellen, A picture made for two

This has been our favourite commission to date!

London couple Mike and Ellen are planning a beautiful wedding in Cornwall inspired by the English countryside. After speaking to the couple it was clear they wanted an invitation that gave their guests a preview into their celebration and what better way to get guests imagining the day than representing the couple in a portrait. Their invitation also features the colour of Ellen's favourite flower, the Cornflower.

We are really looking forward to sharing more of the designs we have created, menus, signage, place settings... But you'll have to wait until after their big day to see those!
