REAL WEDDING: Chris & James - Taking centre stage...

Chris and James planned an awesome, personal wedding at the stunning exclusive use country house Pendrell Hall; if you're looking for some no nonsense advice from a couple that have been there then read on...

Keep track of what you've got and what you want, including budget and when payments are due - the more things you have written down out of your head, the less you have to try and remember

It might sound like a given but getting details out of your head and onto paper will give you the space you need to make those all important decisions. So... cocktails or prosecco?

Do things in advance to avoid disappointment, if there is a certain thing you want at the wedding i.e pianist, research and get it booked!

We love this one, once you have the budget and wedding date sorted start getting in touch with suppliers. It might seem like you need to have all the details ironed out before you book the creative folk you need to make your celebration happen, but we are always happy to chat to couples. Let's talk about the style of stationery you would like; we start work on the designs while you nail down the finer details. We can save your designs and give you a couple of weeks to decide on the final timings etc, just get back in touch when you're ready and we'll send everything to print once you know what time the party gets started.

The highlight...

Seeing all our friends and family in one place having the most amazing time, all to celebrate our relationship together. Seeing people laughing, crying, dancing, singing and just simply having so much fun meant the world to us and brought us the upmost amount of joy. We can remember both taking a moment during our wedding breakfast to look out across the room and take in all the faces of happiness chatting away to people they might not have even met before.

Don't be afraid to change your mind, it's a once in a lifetime day so it is important to get it right!

As well as a bespoke portrait Chris and James added a fun theme for their wedding day stationery inspired by their love of West End musicals.

Musicals are our joint hobby, we love nothing more than going to the theatre and taking in a great show - it is what makes us so happy. We wanted to bring that into our special day as it is what people know us for, so we ensured all the table names were named after our favourite musicals, made the favours linked to the table name and also ensured lots of the songs from various musicals were played. We walked down the aisle to 'Can you feel the love tonight' from the Lion King so we ensured the theme ran throughout the whole day. We loved bringing to life our passion for musicals including the fabulous table plan!

Happy Halloween!

Although none of our couples are having a Halloween themed celebration (darn!) I couldn't resist drawing this Dia de Muertos illustration just for fun. It's inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead Bride and Groom and it was so much fun to research... and now I REALLY want this to be our costume! Happy Halloween everyone, have a spooooky time! Abi x
