The ceremony took place at St Paul’s Church a community-based church local to the happy couple, after hopping on vintage double decker buses guests partied at the historical Devonport Guildhall. Read on to hear from our bride Cassi’s top tips for wedding planning…

MAKE IT EASIER TO RELAX… “My advice for wedding planning is getting as much of it done as soon as you’ve booked the venue. Get all the deposits down and make quick decisions. That gives you time leading up to the event to relax as much as possible and work on all the little details. Also if things don’t turn out how you had planned, you’ll be relaxed enough to resolve them.”

PAY FOR ACTIVITIES GRADUALLY… “We paid for everything slowly, each month as to not feel the total pinch of wedding costs. We thought it was very important for our guests to move around, we had lots of games and things to do/look at around the room.”

PICK GREAT SUPPLIERS FOR PERSONAL TOUCHES… “The biggest compliment we had repeatedly, was the attention to detail. Everyone really enjoyed all the personal touches added everywhere. We cannot rate our suppliers enough!”

DearlyBeloved-weddingstationery_Minimal-Monogram_NicolaGoughPhotography(279 of 664).jpg

Sarah & Chris planned a sophisticated wedding day filled with all the class of a traditional big white wedding but with an injection of fun including ice cream in the church grounds, lawn games and even a bouncy castle... and it wasn't just for the kids! Wedding day photography by Nicola Gough Photography.

We created a wedding invitation bundle complete with silver foiled monogram, RSVP card all fastened with an illustrated belly band.

Sarah & Chris' personal style is all about simple design done well as we found out when we chatted to the couple about how best to represent them in their wedding stationery. As well as snaps of their bridesmaid's dresses, wedding flowers and cake topper they sent over some photos of how they have decorated their home to give us an idea of the things they love. We put all those visuals together to create this clean, elegant design with silver foiled, hand drawn monogram and contemporary typography.

When couples are lucky enough to have children weddings are so much more than two people coming together, it was really important that Sarah and Chris involved their daughter in the announcement of their marriage and we were honoured to create this portrait of the three of them together for their Save the Date cards.

After saying watching the couple say their 'I do's' at their local church guests were treated to Dan and Wills traditional english ice creams in the church grounds before heading to glamorous Somerford Hall to get the party started.
