Two shoots, two looks, one team...

Night and Day, Ying and Yang, Light and Dark - We joined forces with this team of creative wedding suppliers to create not one but two inspirational looks.

Working at the same venue, the stunning Orangery at Mount Edgcumbe Country Park in coastal Cornwall, on the same day and even using the same model we styled two completely different wedding looks. The first a moody woodland look filled with deep blues, edgy make up and a little leather; the second a fresh faced bride with blush florals, mint green watercolour stationery and plenty of rose gold sequins.

Here's what photographer Agata had to say about how the shoot came together... "It's really important to me as a photographer to reflect my couple's personality on their wedding day; couples spend months (sometimes years!) planning their celebration and so I feel like it's my job to ensure they not only have beautiful memories but that when they look back at their photos they see an essence of their own personal style in their wedding photographs. We're all passionate about taking couple's vision and creating the perfect big day for them and so we wanted to show how just how versatile we are as creative professionals; the two shoots are literally inspired by opposites - Night and Day, Ying and Yang, Light and Dark"

For the darker look we wanted to speak to brides who break the mould and who might not feel represented in the softer looks they see in wedding magazines. We actually used the same stationery collection (Quartz Watercolour) in both looks but chose a strong midnight blue for the edgier bride. We can imagine brides who are a little more alternative rocking their favourite boots under their wedding dress – still feeling like themselves, but the best version of themselves on their big day.

LIGHT

For the Light shoot we were inspired by the traditional English garden at Mount Edgcumbe, we imagined a couple who loved Spring time and fresh dewy colours, what was beautiful on the day was to see how the Light concept was reflected in the soft feminine style of the boho dress from The Wedding Hub, and the rose gold sequins really added a modern punch to the overall look.

A Bohemian elopement with a touch of Viking spirit...

VikingWeddingStyledShoot-18.jpg

This elopement styled shoot was inspired by Viking seafarers and a love of all things bohemian; what is it Ewan McGregor says in Moulin Rouge... the bohemian ideals are freedom, beauty, truth, and love? Well if your wedding celebrates those biggies then you're off to a good start.

This shoot coordinated by photographer Mila Kos was photographed on the stunning Wembury Devonshire coastline and is the perfect inspiration for an outdoors boho celebration with a touch of raw Viking spirit.

VikingWeddingStyledShoot-29.jpg

The romantic wedding dress designed by SAJA is available from Rock the Frock stockist The Wedding Hub. Such an elegant shape but with softly dropped shoulders for added drama.

VikingWeddingStyledShoot-57.jpg

Our Flora & Fauna wedding invitation and RSVP card was edited to suit the deep reds, pinks and purples of the shoot. (If you love one of our designs but you're not sure the colour scheme would suit your day just get in touch to see if we can edit the design to coordinate with the rest of your celebration.)

When Emma from Best Day Ever was on the look out for creative suppliers to help out with an alternative styled shoot we jumped at the chance to get involved. Influenced by her love of rich Eastern fabrics and colour this look has all the glamour of a traditional Indian wedding but with a laid back modern twist.

We looked to everything from indian mandalas, jewelled sarees and moroccan henna to design this fresh suite of stationery. And for that extra special touch we collaborated with the talented folk over at The Foil Invite Co. who added the delicate gold foiling.

We used the quirky wedding stationery suite we designed for Devonport Guildhall featuring a custom illustration of the historic architecture and colourful florals as a starting point for the shoot. Abi had a wonderful day working collaboratively with the amazing ladies from Edible Essence Cake Art, Native Flower Farm, Grace Elizabeth Photography and UpArt Photography to create contemporary, fun styling!

Native Flower Farm always uses truly seasonal flowers from their own farm and other local growers in all of their work, all year round.

"...we knew we needed bright but delicate flowers to highlight and meld all the elements of the scheme into one big beautiful whole. Inspired by what we saw in our fields and the classic flower shapes of Dearly Beloved Guildhall designs, we created a bridal bouquet and table-scape of bright pops and fresh greens in a riotous garden-gathered style with a delicate nod to the elegance of the Regency setting of the Guildhall with our favourite trailing ribbon styling."
